"Thank you again for all of your wonderful support and bringing MumWrite to my life. It's been the best thing that I've achieved in 2021 for myself."
-Kebar, Plymouth

*Have you dabbled with writing but instantly critiqued your work and left it hidden in a drawer?

*Do you want to use your writing to do something that fits around your life with kids and makes you feel happy and fulfilled?

*Is it time to realise your dreams for your life, writing or business by learning to be confident in your voice?

MumWrite is here to help you!

MumWrite
is a community of women who want to write or already write short fiction and poetry, with a particular focus on new writing techniques and making you a more empowered and confident writer. The programme is online, which breaks geographical barriers. Beginners are welcome, as well as those who have writing experience. At the moment, we run one-off workshops and offer feedback and mentoring.

MumWrite runs independent workshops to help women writers enjoy some writing time, find peers, create a writing toolkit for their writing now and in the future, and develop as a writer. The aim of MumWrite is to empower women writers to write, edit and submit their work, use their writing to maximum effect in their life, as well as becoming part of a writing community. The programme is run by facilitator, editor and mum of two children, Nikki Dudley, who has two published novels, two published pamphlets and two published collections, as well as being published extensively in magazines and journals. Nikki started MumWrite in lockdown because she wanted to find more time to write and opportunities that welcomed mums, but she also wants to help all women writers to achieve!

The supportive workshops offer:

-a non-judgemental space for you to grow your confidence.
-a writing toolkit to help you improve your work and feel inspired.

-support with growing your writing voice and achieving your writing aims in all areas of your life.
-writing prompts and support if you need to catch up or can't attend for any reason.
-a group that understands if you've had no sleep and not done your hair!
-a space filled with like-minded people.
-a space for both beginner and more established writers.
-a pathway into being published and how to approach this with confidence.

-much needed YOU time and self-care.

Workshops cover a range of things, including: list poems, picture prompts, resilience tasks, collaborative writing, combined forms, breakout rooms and discussions, building on your writing with different development activities, marketing, submissions, editing techniques, and more!
